Grux
GRUX is a combination of ‘grit’ and ‘flux’. Life requires grit and hard work to achieve goals and fulfil visions. It also demands the flexibility and creativity to adapt to the fluctuations of the world around us. GRUX is its own unique brand in which we have the creative freedom to explore a range of concepts that drive our passion to create.
Art and Fashion Magazine
Art and Fashion Magazine
Throughout my time at the University of Oregon, I had the opportunity to design for Align, an art and fashion magazine run by students. With Align I created designs that brought the written pieces to life to fully immerse readers. As this was an art magazine, I was able to get creative and outside the box with many designs.
Emerald Media Group
With Emerald Media Group I was able to branch out and work on multiple publications at the same time while keeping a harsh deadline. From magazines, to ads, to newspapers, I was a designer and illustrator for the team.
3D Font
For this project, we had the objective to create a 3D typeface and make it digital.
I immediately thought of origami and turning paper into a font. After choosing paper as my medium, I recalled the 3D paper stars that kids used to make hundreds of while in class.
After making many, many paper hearts, I arranged them, photographed them, and edited them in Photoshop.
Type Faces
A collection of faces solely drawn from different fonts.
I restricted myself to using one font per face to demonstrate the character that each font holds and how expressive they are.
Through this process, I focused on the gesture and shape of the different typefaces.
Animated Text
These animations were all made in Procreate where I altered and morphed hand drawn typefaces to create them into some other object or shape.
